6.后接两个名词的双宾语动词,用被动语态时,常常把间接宾语变为主语,也可把直接宾语变为主语:
They gave him a dictionary. 他们给他一本词典。
He was given a dictionary. 有人给他一本词典。
A dictionary was given to him. 一本词典给了他。
7.用于 “ v.+ n. + n. （complement）”句型的动词,有些也有被动语态。主动句里的宾语变成了被动句的主语,而宾语的补足语则成了主语的补足语:
People elected him Chairman of the Committee. 人们选他为委员会的主席。
He was elected Chairman of the Committee. 他被选为委员会的主席。
After a successful career in business， he was appointed ambassador. 他在事业上取得成功后被任命为大使。
He was generally considered the wisest man and the GREatest writer then living in England. 他被公认为当时英国最有智慧和最伟大的作家。
8.用于“s.+ v. + n. + adj.” 句型的动词也可能有被动语态,主动句里的宾语变成被动句的主语,而形容词(短语)则成了主语的补足语:
The group declared the medicine safe for use on humans. 该小组宣布这种药用于人体安全可靠。
The medicine was declared safe for use on humans. 已经宣布这种药用于人体安全可靠。
This figure has been proved correct. 这一数字已经证明是正确的。
It was considered shameful that Edgar's father was attracted to the theatre and join a travelling company of actors. 埃得加的父亲热衷于戏剧,并参加了一个巡回演出团,这被认为是丢人现眼的事。(it是形式主语)
