This is a melody I can't help listening to again and again. Although composed by a European band, the song is full of ghostly charms from the orient.
The song begins with the haunting voice of the erhu, followed by the solo produced by a violin and gradually the two instruments merge creating a rhythm that is so mystical.
Listening to it, I feel as if I can see the lotus flowers breathing and growing quietly. They stretch their bodies and dance elegantly, extending, extending, and extending ever GREater.
People are able to witness their exotic appearance and alluring facade. No wonder lotus land translates to comfortable place in English.
The lotus blossoms so brilliantly free from the thousands of anxieties, which afflict people, but somehow they still reveal their hidden sorrows and bitterness, almost desperate for someone to confide in.
They burst with vigor, painfully but triumphantly as well.
Plants are like human beings; perhaps like the lotus they also have emotions.
