Different Ideas about British People
A: What kind of experiences have you had with British people?
B: Generally the older people are very kind and tolerant. But people in general, are arrogant, and at first glance they look proud.
A: Some people are friendly if they can see you are interested in their problems and are ready to share their interests and hear their point of view. At least they turned out to be more friendly than I thought they might be. They’re far from their image of “having a stiff upper lip”.
A: How do you find English people compared to Swedish people, Catherine?
D: I think English people are more open than the Swedish. I think It’s easier to talk to them than the Swedish people. But I’ve found English people can sometimes be more rude to you in the streets than Swedish people.
