Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s male and female national football teams arrived in South Korea on Tuesday to attend an international soccer competition hosted by the East Asian Football Federation to be held in South Korea.
The some 60 footballers were GREeted by a group of South Korean football officials at Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul, and headed straight to a hotel.
Both of the DPRK's national men's and women's teams will participate in the event scheduled to kick off on July 31 in several cities in South Korea.
The teams are scheduled to have matches with their South Korean counterparts on Aug. 4 in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province.
Moreover, the DPRK and South Korean football teams are to have a friendly in mid-August to celebrate the liberation of the Korean Peninsula from the Japanese colonial rule.
Earlier in the day, representatives from the two sides met in DPRK's border town of Kaesong to discuss their plan to hold the friendly next month.
